Technology Evangelist Presents High Definition Coverage of 2006 International CES.

Hello, I'm Benjamin Higginbotham, and I'll be your guide through CES 2006. We're just one short day away from our expo floor coverage and we wanted to show you exactly how we'll be bringing CES to you. You may have noticed that we have started RSS feeds of both audio and video files. What you may not have noticed is that we also have a video feed for iTunes to play these updates on your Video iPod.

There are few consumer HD video cameras on the market today. Most of which are pretty decent. But we decided to go above and beyond by bringing the latest broadcast HDTV gear not available to consumers. All videos are being shot in Sony HD Cam 1080i, and converted directly to MPEG4 H.264. We'll be editing every night from our hotel room using Final Cut Pro HD on a 17" Powerbook. In case bandwidth problems are preventing us from uploading, we have a Sprint and Verizon EVDO broadband card installed as a backup to ensure you get your daily dose of CES HD.

Everyone on the Technology Evangelist CES crew has worked in broadcast television - some for network news stations - and we're excited to use our television expertise to bring the CES show directly to you.
