I found this picture on Flickr today of three Treo users (and someone with a laptop?) comparing their gadgets. A similar thing happened to me at lunch today where I dined with two fellow Treo users. Between the three of us, we had a Treo 600, Treo 650, and a brand new Treo 700p.
There was some business card beaming going on, discussions on what is the best email client for the smartphone, and what the Bluetooth is good for on the 650 and up models. I'm the Luddite with the 600.
While waiting for our food, we:
1. Beamed our business cards to each other.
2. Took pictures of each other to add as contact photos.
3. Checked in on
Dodgeball.
4. Sent in a graffiti report to some graffiti I spotted in Minneapolis on the way to work.
5. Checked voice mails.
6. Sent an update to my Google Calendar using SMS.
7. Checked email.
Actually, the one thing none of us did was actually make a phone call while at lunch. That would be rude.
'nough said. This is also a test of blogging from Flickr. Let's see how it goes.
[Update: Found a blogging from Flickr shortcoming. There doesn't appear to be a way to select categories or split out an excerpt from within Flickr, and it doesn't look like posts can be posted as drafts, which would allow me to clean them up before going live. It's close to really cool for me.]
