"AOL said films from Twentieth Century Fox, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group will be available for download on AOL Video for $9.99 to $19.99 per movie."
"The Federal Communications Commission is preparing to launch a formal inquiry into a decision by Verizon and BellSouth to continue charging DSL customers for a Universal Service Fund fee the U.S. government is no longer requiring."
Specifically concerning the AOL deal with the four media companies - I wonder how this is going to play out with everyone beginning to offer movies and TV shows on-demand? How are the companies going to differentiate?
My thought is that this is being born as a commodity from the beginning.
