3 Great Things About the Feedburner Ad Network
The Feedburner Ad Network supplies some of the advertisements you see on TechnologyEvangelist.com and in our site's RSS feed. We have been using this program for a little over a month, and have been very satisfied with the results to date. Here is what we like about it:
1. Easy setup. Just activate the ad network within your Feedburner admin account to start serving ads within your burned RSS feed. You'll need to copy/paste a bit of code into your web site's HTML code to serve ads there.
2. Control over advertisers. While some services, like Google AdWords, offer opt-out capabilities so you can blog ads from competitors and other sites you deem inappropriate, Feedburner let's you approve every ad before it goes live. Feedburner sends out a "new ad campaign" email giving you 48 hours to opt-out of running the ad on your site. If you do nothing, it will start running after the 48 hour grace period.
You can deny or approve the ad within your Feedburner Ad Network admin area. Here is an example ad for Xdrive I decided to approve over the weekend:
Notice that Feedburner tells me when the ad will run, the gross CPM for the ad, when it will begin running, and what the ad creatives will look like.
3. High quality advertisers. I'm not sure how FeedBurner does it, but they've managed to kick off their ad network with some really high quality advertisers, including AOL, Sony, and Verizon.

Ed - Agree with you completely. The best part about FAN is that they are CPM based ads and they always supply you two versions of the same ad - one for the feed and the other one for the site.
And yes, they have roped in some really good advertisers.
