Here's a Bloglines RSS issue I haven't been able to figure out. Why can't Bloglines find the RSS feed for this site:

http://www.free-seo-news.com/weekly-search-engine-facts.htm

It's located at:

http://www.free-seo-news.com/rss.xml

Just like the source code says it is:

FireFox can find it and use it for a Live Bookmark:

And Safari can to:

But this is what Bloglines shows:

when I click my Add to Bloglines bookmarklet (this URL).

Any idea why this is? Is this a Bloglines issue? Does it have something to do with how Free-SEO-News.com is coding their RSS feeds in their header?

One other thing: The Add to Bloglines bookmarklet will work for me from the homepage of Free-SEO-News.com.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem when trying to subscribe to a feed from a blog hosted by blogsome.com. Bloglines announced 'no feeds were found.'

Eventually, I just put the basic blog URL into the Bloglines search box and selected 'Subscribe to this URL' from the options in the drop-down box next to it. That worked fine.

The above solution however would not be much help to someone who just clicked on a simple 'subscribe to this blog' link on your own page.

Sorry it's only a partial solution, but at least it's good to know I'm not the only one who has had problems.

Thanks for commenting, Chris. My workaround of choice is to view the source code and search for "xml" to find their feed location. I haven't tried your solution, but will now. Thanks.
