Benjamin Higginbotham: Benjamin Higginbotham with Technology Evangelist, fellow techie sent in this question.

Speaker 1: Hey, how come this look so much better than any of the other webcams that I‘ve seen?

Benjamin Higginbotham: That’s actually a very good question and the answer is very simple. It’s the lens. Most webcams use a plastic lens, the Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision uses a glass lens.

Now, glass allows more light to pass through., It’s a cleaner picture and you could actually see a quite a bit of video difference between plastic and glass. That’s why most high-end broadcast cameras will use a glass lens, as opposed to a plastic lens. Over time the type of glass and the quality of glass will improve.

Now, if you are in the market for a webcam and don’t have one now, this is a great camera. It will make you look really good to your grand kids or your grand kids good to you, or whatever you're in the market for, you look really good using this webcam.
