CES - Tania Beagley, Eleksen
Tania Beagley from Eleksen talks to Benjamin about Elektex, which is a smart fabric sensing technology. What that all means is that you can put controls for just about any electronic device into a piece of fabric and be able to control that device by touching the right place on the fabric.

This is cool stuff, and has a lot of great applications such as iPod controls in clothing or backpacks. One area where it doesn't seem to be ready for prime time is as a keyboard. We had three members of our team try to type out "Technology Evangelist" on their demo keyboard and could not do it in multiple attempts. It was either too sensitive (triggering extra letters) or not sensitive enough (missing letters).
Applications that rely on less-precise controls (volume, next song, etc.) work well today.
