Helvetica: The Documentary Film
Ed Kohler
I've never been to a documentary film about a font before, but there is a first time for everything. ErikSpiekerman's comments about being a "type-o-maniac" sold me:

"I've obviously a type-o-maniac, which is obviously an incurable - if not mortal - disease. I can't explain it. I just love, I just like looking at type. They are my friends. People look at bottles of wine or whatever or, you know, girls bottoms. I get a kick out of looking at type."

ErikSpiekerman

Together with Rick Poyner's comments on the influence of fonts:

"All of us, I would suggest, are prompted in subliminal ways. Maybe the feeling you have when you see a particular typographic choice is used on a piece of packaging is just, 'I like the look of that. That feels good. That's my kind of product.' But that's the type casting its secret spell."
