Myspace Should Add Elementary and Middle Schools
MySpace has proven to be a great way to reconnect with old friends for me. People I haven't talked to in over a decade have tracked me down through the service, rekindling old friendships in a matter of minutes. What impresses me the most about this is that some of the connections came from people I didn't go to college or high school with. They were elementary school or junior high school friends. Since MySpace doesn't provide the ability to include elementary or middle schools in profiles, my long-time friends had to track me down by searching local high schools they didn't personally attend. While this worked, it's a clunky solution compared to matching people up by ALL of the schools they attended. I've tried running similar searches to track down classmates from before high school. It's not easy. Since most MySpace users go by only their first name, it's hard to know for sure if the person I'm looking for is really who I think they are. Having additional data to work with, such as elementary school and years attended, would help tremendously. Connecting with old friends is one of MySpace's most powerful features from my perspective. I'd love to see them further enable this type of connection.

Kevin, I believe that's correct, but I'm referring more to social networks tied to grade schools more than allowing access to people who are still in grade school.
