Airports with Free WiFi Access
Ed Kohler

Thanks to Rex Sorgatz for pointing out this awesome directory listing the WiFi status of 219 airports.

I wonder how many travelers in and out of JFK choose JetBlue over other carriers based on the free WiFi availability in Terminal 6? Be sure to take that $7.95 WiFi charge into consideration when booking flights.

Very nice list.
One of my favorite new hotspot listing sites is... http://hotspotr.com/ ...it allows one to add hotspots, rate hotspots, add comments to hotspots, etc...mashed up on a nice clean Google map.

Free wifi is a good thing, however, it's important to note that it's known practice for cyberthieves to set up a temporary open wifi 'honeypot' or official-looking phishing site, and then sniff data from the unsuspecting users who think they are getting 'free wifi.'
