A look back at where Miro 1.0 came from
Benjamin J. Higginbotham
There are a slew of video players on the market but not too many players that are open-source, cross-platform and support industry standards such as MPEG 4/h.264, RSS, etc. The defacto standard video RSS player in the industry seems to be iTunes, but now there's a choice. As of today Miro is on version 1.0!

In celebration of the Miro 1.0 launch I thought it would be fun to show all of the videos we have of the Participatory Culture Foundation, the creators of Miro. Most of these videos were created when Miro was still called Democracy Player, so keep that in mind. While you're at it don't forget to subscribe to the Technology Evangelist HD channel in Miro.
