I expected to hate this, but it's not 'another corporate presentation' by any means and I soon warmed to him!
He says several times that the money doesn't motivate him, and I believe that, so I was left wondering at the end, what does? It would be fascinating to know.

I had the same impression, Steve. He's a no-nonsense guy who has no time for introspection and in-fighting.
My guess is that he's motivated by winning, and sees this as a huge opportunity to prove how smart he is. It's like climbing Everest for business people.
