EKEN H9R Ultra HD 4K 25fps HD Camera Review~
What is the EKEN H9R Ultra HD 4K camera?
The EKEN H9R Ultra HD 4K 25fps HD camera is a 4K ultra-large camera with a focal length equivalent to 25fps. It’s a mirrorless (not a digital) camera, so it can shoot at up to 25fps (frames per second).
Like the majority of cameras, the H9R Ultra HD camera also features an integrated live view (f/2.0) f/2.2 mode, which enables it to shoot at up to 35fps (frames per second).
The H9R Ultra HD 4K camera also features a single built-in flash, and this is coupled with an optical flow sensor and an image stabilizer.
Build and Handling
The EKEN H9R Ultra HD 4K camera has a reassuringly plastic build, which is reassuringly B+. The design is also very easy to handle. The camera is a little large and doesn’t slip off your hand.
But once you get used to it, it’s easy to adjust with a simple screw-in lens protector that can then be unscrewed and attached directly to the camera.
The H9R Ultra HD 4K camera features a touchscreen control system, an infrared sensor, a front-end wireless grip, a self-contained micro USB charging port and a power button.
Once in, the camera is held by a magnet, which is held steady by magnets. The sensor has a small number of stops, and that’s because it’s designed to hold in better stead than a conventional camera. It also has a slight catch, which is that if you hold it too close to the camera, it can fall from a height of up to down.
At the front, the camera is held by a spring-loaded grip, which enables it to be held and used with one hand. The camera can then be flipped up or down to release the grip and re-centred.
The action of the camera is aimed at business photographers who want to make quick, easy and fast snapshots, and it has a small f/2.8 aperture.
Build and Handling
I’m a big fan of the Leica approach to their cameras. I’ve never had a need to shoot with a mechanical camera before, but the H9R Ultra HD 4K camera delivers with an appealing performance.
The camera’s mount is well-executed and features a focal length equivalent to 35mm. The lens is held by a metal ring around the lens barrel which is secured with a bolt. It’s designed to prevent it from damaging the camera when it falls from a height of up to 5.5ft.
On the opposite side of the camera is the lens hood and on the top edge, there’s a power button.
On the back of the camera, there’s a touch-screen which enables you to select the shooting mode, and then the settings can be selected.
On the bottom edge of the camera is a control dial which enables you to adjust the exposure settings.
I shot with the H9R Ultra HD 4K camera a number of times and the results were very good. The image quality I was getting from the camera was great, and with a good viewfinder, you could see that the amount of detail and contrast in the images were very good.
