SG106 22mins Flight RC Drone RTF Review
What is the SG106?
The SG106 is a small (2.4″ dual-core radio chipset incorporating the ES9 audio/video chip and the popular CFQ-RA audio/video chipset.) Designed to replace/improve upon the popular Gemini Lake RK3288 broadcast processor, it also features an ARMv8 bridge (ARMv8 bridge) that allows it to replace the ARMv8 bus with a single channel ARMv8.
It has also been released alongside the previous generation SG1000 which is the G31 Dual-core chipset. With this new chipset, the frequency range is now comparable to roughly 2.2 GHz (up to 20 MHz) and 2.4 GHz (up to 20 MHz). This means the frequency range of the highest frequency is now much closer to that of the old SG1.
As seen in the following comparison chart, there’s a dramatic increase in the number of cores of the SG10 / G31 compared to the previous G50 (up to 67%). The frequency range of the SG10 / G31 has now increased by 20% while the frequency range of the G31 has increased by 6%.
There’s also a marked increase in the number of threads of the G31 compared to the previous generation and a marked increase in the number of cores. This means that the frequency of the G61 has also increased.
The difference in frequency can be seen in the frequency range of the SG100 as well. Whereas the previous G21 range was more than twice as fast, the SG100 now powers up faster than the previous G51. In comparison to the old A72, the power of the SG100 has increased by 30%.
When you think of all the compromises that have gone into bringing the SG100 to life, one of them would be the price. To put it simply, while a mid-range solution the SG100 can’t compete with the highest-end offerings in the market. So even if you can get a good bang for your buck, it’s worth considering the price point of bringing it to life.
Build quality and handling
The SG105Q uses a rugged aluminium chassis, but all other features have been optimised to the current standard. In fact, the new material enables the quality of the metal to be very good, and there’s not a single scratch.
There’s also no obvious difference between the two metal versions of the SG105Q. It’s been designed to withstand the elements very well.
And when it comes to the weight, the SG105Q has a rather slim build. For one, it’s a bit heavier than its predecessor, SG105. There’s also no way to push it more than an inch on one’s shoulder.
But if you take it off when you’re carrying it, it’s easy enough to get back to your usual work.
The box is mostly made out of plastic, but it’s really a solid piece of plastic that’s well-made. It’s easy to feel when the SG105Q is fully out and about.
The full SG105Q performance is certainly evident when holding it in your hands, but if you don’t get it with you, it’s not hard to find a partner that can.
There’s no doubt that the current graphics card makes it look and feel a bit heavy, but there’s no
