Beelink Kaby G5 Gaming Mini PC Review
Beelink G5 – The Most Powerful Dual Boot Tablet~ We have been eagerly waiting for Beelink’s next-generation dual boot tablet to hit the market, and we here at Geekbench test it out.
In this review, we’ll be looking at the features, performance and cameras that the Beelink GT5 is packed with.
The GT5 is an entry-level dual boot tablet with great build quality. It has an Intel Atom X5-Z8750 with a Cherry Trail CPU. The build quality is good and features like the display are expected of it.
Beelink GT5: Specifications
Beelink GT5: Build Quality and Design
Beelink’s GT5 is an entry-level dual boot tablet, so we’ll be comparing it against the Core M3-6Y30 from last year.
It’s a dual boot configuration, and I’m expecting the dual boot to be identical to the standard 6″ tablets.
The performance is expected to be identical, but in terms of hardware, it looks promising.
What’s a dual boot tablet, to start something off, it features all the ports we’ve seen so far on the market. There’s a USB 3.0 / USB 2.0 port that supports transfer and storage.
At this point, you’d be forgiven for thinking the dual boot is a thing, but it’s not.
The Beelink GT5 comes in two variants. The pre-installed Windows 10 Home operating system. The pre-installed Linux version, the Freerroot version (firmware that ships with the OS) and the Windows 10 Pro.
Beelink GT5: Design and Appearance
Many of the dual boots we’ve seen feature a small step down as well as a move towards the micro usb 3.1 spec. The difference between these two is the housing.
The GT5 feels solid in the hand, and the texture of the metal chassis is reassuring.
There’s a high degree of build quality at work, and there’s a good amount of grip on the tablet. It’s hard to push it on a sofa and a good 10-15% more than the Atom X5 Z8300.
However, the weight is expected to be an issue for a tablet that will probably hit the market in about a year.
The keyboard is relatively easy to move around on the surface and the touchpad is responsive to touch.
The keyboard is only a fraction the size of the one found on the Atom X5 Z8300’s and if you want to move it around you need to use your fingers and find the keys.
In use, the touchpad is responsive and makes it very comfortable to use. It’s a good job to have a keyboard to hold and type on.
The touchpad is smaller and lighter than the GT5’s touchpad. However, it’s still not perfect, but for £599 you’re getting a good laptop for the money you’re paying for.
Beelink GT5: Display
The Beelink GT5 is an entry level dual boot tablet, and judging by the early results it’s easy enough to see why.
The IPS panel at 720p is of 5.96 inches in size, and it’s a good screen to have.
