Intel NUC NUC8i7HVKVAW E-sports Game Mini PC Review

VECS V8S Plus Review~ I’m a huge fan of Huawei’s latest smartphones. The X20 Pro, OPPO R9S, and even the V8 which has the best camera on the market.

But what I really like about these are the good cameras at their flagship phones. And as I am writing this, I’ve been reviewing the Huawei Nova 2 which has a 2.2MP front camera and a 20MP camera on the back.

In addition, I’m reviewing the Huawei Go 4 which is the best budget phone in the market.

Before reading the rest of my reviews, I’ll give you a quick summary of what I’ve read and seen so far.

Features

If you’re interested, you can read everything I’ve read in my unboxing article here.

This phone comes in a few different colours, white, black and blue. The only thing I would change would be the font used for the front camera.

Camera and Video Quality

To be honest, you won’t see the quality of the images taken with this phone as the screen is a low resolution and only 1080p.

You’ll see below in the samples below that it really looks like the pixel density of the screen isn’t that much, but it’s good enough to try shooting at 1080p and at less than the resolution of 1080p.

Very bright screen, colours are well saturated and colours are vibrant enough. But the downsides come at a cost.

Video quality is good for the most part for this price range of phones. There are plenty of high resolution shots in the video above.

The camera is also impressive on low to medium quality footage. Most of the time it’s ok. I shot a lot of fast moving subjects and some of the slow motion in the footage is okay. It might not be the best camera on the market but it’s usable.

However, if you’re happy to clip your face in the camera you might want to go for the Pro Capture option, which is just as good.

Video Quality

When it comes to video quality there’s a big difference between the 720p and 1080p smartphones.

The 720p videos look a lot sharper than the 1080p ones.

But when it comes to quality, the quality of the footage is not that good. This phone can be a little bit jerky when it comes to moving subjects.

The footage is decent, although not quite as smooth as it would be in 1080p.

However, you can still see the difference when it comes to colour.

Colour is still good and a little warmer on the 720p side is a little more muted on the 1080p one.

So this camera is more than capable of capturing good footage with you at the launch event. However, you’ll have to check out the sample images that I’ve linked to in the video to see them.

Verdict

As it stands the V8 Plus is a very good smartphone. I’m a big fan of the Huawei brand and would highly recommend this device to anyone looking for a mid-range phone.

The V8 Plus is also a good alternative to the Galaxy S9 if you’re considering a phone with a dual camera setup.

It’s just that the design is very good.
